Hi. We have been camping for the last 7 years in the South of France. We go with Haven Europe as they are the cheapest we have found, much cheaper than Key Camp or Eurocamp. The site we use is called Hippocampe and La Sirene which is a beautiful area right down South almost near the Spanish border. The weather has always been fab! We have tried other sites but cannot find one as good. The staff have been the same all the years we have been there and it is fabulous for families. We started when our first child was 3 and a new born. Now they are 10, 7 and 5! We try to persuade them to try a different place but they won't have it! We love everything about the area and the campsite. May be worth a look on their website which is something like www.siblu.com

i've been to la sierne as well.. its a great site - ideal for kids with lots to do - play area, great pools, entertainment each night (and its good!) kids clubs, takeaways, restaurants, shop - its got everything!
I'd go back like a shot if i had chance!
go for it!

I am going to that site this summer!. Another good site is also Haven/Siblu - La Carabasse, a bit further along the coast with direct beach access & it's own beach club.

canvas are great.

the tents are good and the staff very helpful.

if you don't fancy going all the way to the south of france, think of the vendee, it has a very similar climare and a fraction of the distance!

I stayed on a camp site near Bournmouth that rented out tents. It was a nice site, good facilities, bar , heated pool, but it wasn't a quiet place. Oakdene.
