silly question about butane gas cans

Previously when camping I've either not cooked at all (festivals), made a campfire or else used a teeny camping gaz fold out bleuet thingy from my guiding days.

Now I have taken the plunge and purchased one of those proper stove doo dahs, like this so that I can boil water AND cook at the same time (oh, the mad extravagance!), but now I have a really dense question:

How long does one of those butane cans that slot inside the cooker last for, ie how many hours of cooking time will I get out of one?

Am trying to pack as lightly as possible for next weekend and don't want to have cans of butane lying about that I'm not going to need to use, iyswim. Alternately, I don't want to find myself in the middle of the New Forest at stupid o'clock in the morning with no gas to cook my sausage sarnie! :o

Please may I have the benefit of your vast experience?

Thank you, SparklyCloud! :o

I too am a fan of the frequent cuppa, but we are planning a day out at Paulton Park and a day cycling while we're there, so hopefully one bottle will stretch...

Cheers, much appreciated :o
