wetsuits for small children

Hello sorry if no good in this topic but no one responded in chat and I thought outdoors type people may have an opinion.

I just want to know if anyone has these for their toddlers and if they're worth it before I fork out for some? We have the usual UV sunsuits for them (ages 3.5 and 1.5) but I know how cold the sea is in Britain and how I spent my childhood - before little wetsuits were made - shivering in the water. Anyone use them? Do they really keep children much warmer?

Ta very much Smile

Yes we always use them, as much for keeping the wind off when they are pootling around on the wet sand as anything. I would suggest buying from a beach shop when you get to your holiday destination because they are cheaper.

They don't fit little people that well but they really do help to keep them warm and happy on the beach.

When Dd3 was little we used to put hers on over her nappy before we even go the the beach because she was a real water baby and would be in the first rock pool before we could get her changed and then scream because her clothes were wet.

Enjoy your holsSmile.

Yes, both mine have had them since about age 2, I think they just keep them that wee bit warmer in our less-than-balmy seas. I get mine from an online shop called two bare feet or off eBay.
