SIMS how to inflate them?

When they don't actually self inflate?

Granted they are only cheapies from lidl, but when the bumf says they will inflate to 5cm, then 5cm is what I expect.

Dp and I have spent the whole of the Apprentice poking them and willing them to get thicker, but they are 2cm at best, except a small area around the valve where we have given them a bit of a blow.

Are they just shit, should I take them back?

I have always needed to blow up my SIMs, I think it's normal for a new one to need a bit of help since they'll have been rolled up a long time in the shop.

But when we are blowing them, they are just blowing up like balloons with a solid wedge of foam down the center?

Am I doing something wrong?

i think you have to leave them out for quite a while that first time.

When they are brand new, they take a bit of time to fully "relax" - bear in mind they willhave been sealed up for yonks before you bought them. Leave them laid out with the valves open for a couple of days , pop them under the sofa if they are in the way Smile Then give them a couple of puffs - they should be fine.
