Tent Camping in Wareham

Can anyone recommend somewhere? I've talked DH into going in this direction so I can relive my childhood hols with our DD so don't want to choose somewhere and it turns out to be a disaster!

We've got an 8 man tent and would like somewhere with decent shower/loo/wash up facilities, electric hook up and shop on site. Good facilities for kids and something to do in the evening would be a bonus, but not essential.

Any suggestions much appreciated - have just finished my lunch break but will check in later Grin!

Wareham Forest site is nice - well atleast it was when we went there 4 or so years ago. No evening 'entertainment' but there is an outdoor pool, adventure palyground & forest to tire the kids out! Can't actually comment on how good the adventure playground is as it was per children when we went!
When are you planning on going?

We have just been to Ware Forest touring park. It was great! It has a great new loo/shower block. Shop well stocked and fresh bread each day. The pool is open at end of may -looks nice and clean. We had a massive tent and were right at end of site so was quite a walk to loos. The play park is lovely. Wareham has a nice sainsburys and we hired a boat down the river. Lovely weekend away. Enjoy!

Probably early August - unfortunately DH & I are both term time only so can't go off-season.

Funnily enough I caught my neighbour earlier (avid caravanner) and he recommended the same site so will def check it out - thanks!
