I know it's always been rated by MN campers but please tell me why you enjoyed it.

I'm asking because we're considering it for a long weekend in June.

we've only been once, but i liked it beacuse there are few 'rules' but everyone was really friendly, the site was clean, very well kept and the ice cream van came round every day

it's very close to a supermarket, main bus route etc, but so tucked away at the back end of town you'd really think you were in the middle of nowhere

and the ice cream van came round every day

there is unlimited hot water, pitches aren't marked out, but they ask you leave a MINIMUM space (can't remember it exactly), you can BBQ (they even provide bricks to stand a disposable one on) and did i mention the ice cream van comes round everyday?

it's on our 'return to' list for this year

thanks Beaker... is it really too far in the middle of nowhere? It is somewhere that I have had marked for a couple of years but now I'm wondering if it is too remote. I don't need bright lights, bells and whistles of a seaside town but I don't want to be pulling my hair out with a bored four year old and a fifteen year old. Ok, can't do much about the 15 yo really!!!

We've been there and it isn't in the middle of nowhere. cromer is within walking distance as is a Co-op and a bit further, a Morrisons. We loved crabbing off Cromer pier. Loved Cromer altogether. It's a lovely, old-fashioned seaside town. It can get very windy there, though.
