Hi there - first post for a few years (lost my old login and kids now 6 and 4, so it's been a while) hoping I do this right

We have been taking our kids camping for a couple of years now and I have pulled together ideas on how to make it work well, this is on a growing website here:

Started to draft a "camping with babies" page and really want some more ideas on how to make it work well (we never took ours as they both had bad colic to 18 months)

Camped a good few weekends last summer with dd who was born April 2010. I am a single parent ,but my 4 older dc (14,12,9,8) were so helpful it felt - mostly -very easy and relaxing. It helped that we have camped a lot in the past and everyone got on with the usual routines - they are good at setting up and cope well in the rain!.

Baby was no problem,as she was cwtchy and quiet - just needed holding - or BFing. She slept with me and BFed during the night as usual.Whenever we needed all hands on deck, she was happy in the pram top.

Worst part by far ,was packing and unpacking the car at home.

We are off again in a couple of days for the first tine since.I anticipate more of a challenge,as dd is now crawling at the speed of light and eats anything she can grab.......
