nice campsite in the Midlands?

DH and I are thinking of spending a weekend camping in June, on the way back from a business trip to Cornwall (we live up north!).

We're looking for somewhere with reasonable showers / toilets / washing up facilities, but we don't particularly want lots of activities. A nice view would be better than any entertainment!

This is our first camping trip without our DCs (who are too old now to want to come). We have a tent, no hook-up. Ideally somewhere near Birmingham / West Midlands.

Any suggestions? TIA

Camping and caravan club site at kingsbury water park, nice and only 5 mins from M42.

Was going to suggest Drayton Manor until I saw that you would be without DC.

Haven't yet been to the Kingsbury one Ineed but it does look lovely, or how about Adam Henson's Farm?

Kingsbury Water Park is excellent - I definitely recommend that one.

I live near Cannock Chase - it's lovely. I've not stayed at this one but my DH and DSS have and they liked it lots www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/siteseeker/aspx/details.aspx?id=6070&returnPage=search.aspx

We stayed at Conkers this weekend - another caravan and camping site by the national forest so lovely walks literally right next to camp site, next door to YHA which has bar and 5 mins walk from pub
