Good camp sites in the South East area (max 2 hours from South London)?

Hi,

We did this camp site for 2 night last year www.swissfarmcamping.co.uk/ and enjoyed it but would like to try somewhere new that maybe has more things in the local area to do. We live in Croydon and would prefer to drive no more than 1.5-2 hours. Kids are 4 and 6 so we were looking at Wellington Country Park but would like a choose from a few options :)

Oh and my MIL bought a Sunncamp Vista 800 which we found a bit frustrating to put up - what sort of chance would we have of selling this for a decent sum so we can buy a tunnel tent? www.camping-supplies-uk.com/tents/sunncamp/sunncamp-vista800.htm?PHPSESSID=a2a1a80ded2cb0d800fc9d44a81b2d12

Thanks :)

Hi there is a campsite in Sandwich, Kent which is nice. Can't remember the name but it's right in the town and on the UK campsite web. You can do a walk by the river (you can also have boat trips) and across fields to the sea and Deal seaside is only down the road. A few pubs/restaurants. One of the pubs (sorry can't remember the name) has a good play area for the children. Campsites in Arundel, Sussex are good to, there are riverside walks to the castle, plus near the coast and near Drusilla's for Thomas the Tank.

We've been to Nunnington Farm just outside of Chichester. Perfect for local exploring and very near to Portsmouth for the Historic Dockyard. Site was lovely and they've got a little petting zoo too which seemed popular with families (didn't have DD at the time).
