How do you lay out your pitch?

Once the tent's up, how to you arrange all your gear in front of it? I need tips on where to put the windbreak, chairs, cooker etc in a way which does not involve everyone tripping up over each other right outside the tent door!

Depends what style of tent youhave! What is it?

Aha! Well we borrowed one that shape the first time we camped and we put the kitchen tent to one side sort of making an L then put a porch on the tent and windbreak across the space iykwim. so we has a covered bit and a sort of garden in the L shape. Does that help??

Oh, and the cahirs get tucked under the porch at night but folded so leaving a clear path for pissed people to get to the loo unimpeded :o

Thanks for that. We never folded the chairs at night...sounds worth doing, although my escape route for post-wine night peeing is through the other door at the back
