I've just joined to get discounts on sites and to get access to the certified sites.

Can anyone recommend small certified sites in Hampshire/Dorset area and also one around Cardiff?

I have definitely entered parenthood/middle age territory-I am now a member of the national trust and CCC Grin

I have images of something resembling a 70s stereotypical "outdoors living" type publication Grin

Not sure of any in cardiff even though we are members; tbh you'd need to get on their website- the whole point of the CS's is that they are fairly hidden. Isn't tredegar caravan site Sixty? Do they take tents as well?

We got leter of month once Wink. And i think we're going to the feast of lantersn this year, probably anyway.

SanctiMoanyArse · 28/03/2011 11:53

ooh you are right it does

am tempted now for a weekender! Be handy next year when DS1's at Duffryn!

SanctiMoanyArse · 28/03/2011 12:03

Have enquired for my birthday in July lol- can get kids to school from there and still camp LMAO

DuplicitousBitch · 28/03/2011 14:01

that site is caravan club not camping and caravaning - whole different kettle of anally retentive fish imo

Looks great, but possibly noisy in a tent? The M4 sounds v close.

M4 is close but it's a quiet area for a city site IYSWIM; it's not soemwhere that would bother me overly in terms of noise levels and it's very close to ds1's SNU so am very familiar with it.

It's as quieta s a city site will be; if not, you might want to look at either Abergavenny / Porthcawl way (different areas but quieter and near cardiff), or if non CCCS is an option try Pont Kemys- they have a website.

try this www.caerphilly.gov.uk/cwmcarnforest/english/camping.htm its only up from the motorway junction.

Duffryn area will be noisy but Tredegar house grounds are lovely but not sure if its open all year round isnt it just for rallies????

I'm not far from here.

Ooh thanks for the link Bacon! It looks fab but is over an hour from the wedding venue :(

I've found a great CCC small site just east of Cardiff which has good reviews-right on the coast. Just need dh to approve GrinIt's still some way from the wedding but seems easy to get on the M4 and west.
