Warm up at night vibes please.....

it's only another five weeks til we're away for DS2's birthday....
We gave him the choice of a day out or camping, he chose camping. His birthday is Good Friday so that's camping on the Easter Weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I'm itching to try out the Vermont, but it's soooo cold at night still, getting worried it won't warm up!

We are camping at Easter Weekend...hadn't thought about warmth as was too damn excited about going!! I have been camping at Easter before and it was frosty but this was years ago and just drank tequila as it was so cold....not that alcohol keeps you warm but it distracted from the cold LOL.
We take lots of blankets and our duvets and anything else remotely warming which means we really can't move in the car! I think it's going to be a warm one though as I can feel it in my water works
Taking the 'Cobb' on it's first outing too. What's tent size is Vermont??? We are looking at buying a new tent at the end of this year.

hot water bottles - even if they're filled just with the hot tap from the toilet block it's worth it. Makes the nights tolerable.

If you're going somewhere without a toilet block, try stuffing dock leaves down your pants. It won't keep you warm but it's something to do.

I've jsut looked at some other threads and you bought it from Taunton site??? We are camping in Croyde so may stop in their shop on the way back. Our tent has pods coming off it and is fine but I would much rather DSD be next too us although separate if you get what I mean. I get serious tent envy when we go camping. DH had only done Army style camping before he met me and and now he's worse than I am and even goes up to people to ask if he can have a nosey at their tent

Yes Taunton Leisure, it's last years model so I doubt you'd get it now.
