Inflatable tents

Vango are doing these new this season. Can't do links as on phone but Yeomans have them on their website. Over £400 for smallest size, which seems pricey. Having said that I like the idea on no pole struggling to contend with.

Thoughts? Does anyone have one?

I've seen the youtube clip of them putting them up, looks incredible! I'm going to the Outdoor Show at the NEC tomorrow where they will be on show!

Be interested to know what they look like in person.

Sorry MollieO, the video is here: Yeomans Outdoors

I will be seeing them in the flesh this time tomorrow! Even though I am not actually in any market for a new tent Blush

Thanks, I need to have a look on a proper 'puter.

I'm not in the market for a new tent either as I have 5 already - one I can't put up by myself (first purchase, looks lovely, failed to engage brain on how hard it is to put up alone); a smaller version of tent 1 (too small); a bell tent (lovely but takes long time to dry out); a pop up tent (huge diameter so barely fits in the car); and a lovely new untried tunnel tent purchased at the end of last season.

I keep searching for the perfect tent so I'm rather taken by the thought of an inflatable one!

Ha! I really want a new tent, but just for the sake of it becasue we don't need one. Blush I love looking at tents and camping stuff just for the sake of it.

I wouldn't mind a little job at Go Outdoors Grin

Karsten have been doing inflatable tents for a long time. They always review very favourably and stand up well to fierce weather.

I love the idea of such a quick erect [fnar]

MollieO · 26/02/2011 19:19

Lovely but gosh aren't they expensive. Not sure I'd spend that much on a car let alone a tent! Makes the Vango ones seem a bargain.

As with all things you get what you pay for. They are (apparently, I'm only going on what other camping folk say about them on the Internet) some of the strongest tents around, possibly even stronger than (dare I say it) a pyramid.

RexGrant my all time fave ukcs poster (now to be found on another camping forum) rates them as the strongest tents ever.
