What to sleep on

Three years ago, as a camping novice, I bought one of those cheapo camping packages. Wasn't sure whether I would like it or not. Well, I did.

First the tent died so I replaced. Love my new tent.

Now the beds have died. What would be the best beds/sleeping bags to buy? Need two doubles.

Buy 2 single rather than 1 double air bed is my advice as otherwise very uncomfortable nights sleep going up and down every time other half moves! Having come back from holidays exhausted and sleep deprived I would say this a priority.

get singles then you are not disturbed by the other person moving.

So, for four people, you'd buy four singles?
The blow up kind?

Yes.

Are any of them for DCs?

I always sleep on a double airbed with DH, but I'd put children on a single for the reasons others say. You get a lot of roll-together on a double airbed.

I like a duvet (sleeping bags make me claustrophobic) and I put a fleecy blanket over the sheet for warmth. If it's really cold, another fleecy blanket on top before the duvet.

I brought a double full height airbed bed, its great. DC's sleep on a normal double airbed

Get Self Inflating matts, far better than sleeping on an airbed IMO. We have some Fat Airics www.alpkit.co.uk, but they've now been replaced by another product.

Thank you everyone.
