Alternatives to tent

Okay - not sure I've ended up posting in this topic as I'm not the world's biggest fan of camping, but would like to go to a couple of festivals this year. There will be me, DH and or 2 DDs. Don't fancy the idea of us all being squashed into a tent for days and was wondering if there are any viable alternatives.

I think my preference would be for some kind of vehicle, but I definitely wouldn't want to buy one and am guessing it's the kind of thing that would be pointlessly expensive to hire. Any words of wisdom?

Somes festivals have (v.pricey) options like hiring a pod/small cabin.

Or, like you say, you could hire a camper van and take that.

Or stay in a B&B down the road Wink

Eeek. Have looked at prices for ready put up tents, camper vans etc and am quickly coming round to the idea of a tent.

What do you think about this one?

If you're not sure you'd use a tent that often why not look at Tesco or Asda for a cheaper version, they tend to stock them around the beginning of summer then drop the price, at least they have the past few years

Or even 2 of the cheap dome tents

having said that I think that Vango looks good
