Double sleeping bags

We are considering buying a double sleeping bag, has anyone used them and are they comfortable? The 2 we have been looking at today are: Coleman Hudson Double and the Outwell Contour Double. Can anyone help us to decide?

No idea what make ours is, but its nice and snuggly.
I'm not a fan of mummy bags as I like to move around, so a double is ideal for us.

We bought the Coleman hudson last summer. Love, love, love it :o Its v snuggly but the cotton lining means that it wasn't sweaty (although Devon last August wasn't exactly tropical!) and there is plenty of room - I'm not small and our 1yo DD ended up in with us a few times with room to spare.

We also have Coleman Hudson. We bought two singles, and if you get one with a left side zip and one with a right side zip you an join them to create a double. We wanted this as DH has an annual camping trip with his friends and we wanted some flexibility. We love ours - v cosy.

We have 2 adult single Decathlon ones zipped together which work great.

Yep. Zip 2 together. We have very thick black and yellow pro action bags from Argos and have used them together down to -5.

Thanks for the replies. We have ordered the Coleman Hudson, it arrives tomorrow, can't wait!!!!

I really fancy one of these babies even if it does look like a chocolate lime Grin I had a go at Go Outdoors and I could lie on my side with my knee tucked up just like at home. dh wasn't too impressed though Grin

I hate double sleeping bags. We now have 2 but open them out and use like a duvet.

Buy 2 singles that can zip together, then you ahve the option. I like doubles, but they can get too hot in the summer. thsi option also gives you a far bigger double with more spce for moving around. We have 2 outwell ones which are fab and zipped together are 6 ft
