Can you please recommend the best type of chair to buy. Ideally I would like to be able to rest in it and be able to use it when I sit at the table. We have to sit at at table to eat otherwise my 2 year old wont eat his dinner. So far I have found;

camping chairs
director chiars
easy camp reclining chairs
moon chair

I just want a comfy chair (confused)

Check out lafuma chairs

They get great reviews, are very strong and lightweight and some of them recline too.

I've sat on one in John Lewis and it was very comfy.

Expensive though.

I've got my eye on the Outwell Watson which is the same style as the ones Slubber linked to. I've found it here for £45.99 but GoOutdoors will price match that & knock off 10% as they're selling it at something like £59.99.

I've been up to 'Go' today to have a sit on my shortlist. The winner by a mile was the ones Slubber linked to - they were soooooooo comfy.

This is the one: Lafuma Elips Padded

I want new chairs too, but I have spotted a major problem with the Lafuma. There is nowhere to put your can of beer mug of tea.

DuplicitousBitch · 02/03/2011 15:43

my sister has a glorious reclining number which also does at the table. occasionally when we camp together i am allowed to sit in it. we just have those ones you always see at service stations and in tescos for a fiver.

DuplicitousBitch · 02/03/2011 15:46

look you buy the lafauma drinks holder separately there is also a place for your notebook so you can jot little passive aggressive notes to your family

greenlotus · 02/03/2011 15:48

I suggest you get a low (coffee height) table. Then it will be the right height for little ones sitting on an upturned box and for your reclining chairs. Beer can holders overrated IMO, no good for Proper Mugs or wine glasses.

Thank you DB, I am now in love with this chair!

Camping is obviously all about buying kit, and I am very excited to see that now even the chairs come with matching accessories.
