We are thinking about a camping holiday in France this August. Not entirely sure where in France, probably not too far north as we want a bit of a guarantee on the weather though probably not the south coast as it may be a bit too far! I was thinking of the Jura but am open to anywhere really. Last year we went to Dordogne and loved it but would like to try somewhere new. We are taking our own tent and have 2 boys who will be 7 and 4. we will either arrive at Calais or Cherbourg depending where we go in France.
I would ideally like a site that has a good pool complex with slides/lazy river type stuff, playground, kids club suitable for 4 years upwards, walking distance to pretty town/village and nice pitches/sanitary block. If it is near a river or beach even better! Also, some interesting places to visit nearby.
I know I am probably asking a lot but everything I find a great site it seems to be miles away from anything! Also, the kids club thing is quite important as my oldest loved it last year but the youngest was really upset not to be able to go. Also, we would love a bit of a break too!!!
