Have tried Thermarest and it was all right. Have tried a normal airbed and again all right-a bit bouncy especially with 2 people on.

I sleep on my Areobed all the time. Almost every night. I am light sleeper and DH is an iccessant snorer. It's very comfy. It's a pain in the arse if gets punctured as from what I can see they don't do puncture repair kits. But I find Gaffa tape and superglue work well.

Aerobed very comfortable, but a lot colder. I'd go for Fat Airic (well, Dozer, which is the replacement) for camping.

Actually, we have Aerobed at home for guests anyway, but Fat Airics for camping. Also, FA's easier to inflate, as only need to top up with a couple of breaths vs needing a noisy pump etc for inflatable mattress.

Never tried an aerobed, but I have a Dozer and love it. More comfy than my normal bed (really!) - I actually find myself looking forward to sleeping on it!
