Oh that is beautiful! I wonder if people sell theirs and you could get a more affordable one this way, or whether it's more of a for-life thing? Mind you, for ?2,500 prob the latter...

That is a very, very lovely tent and I can totally see why you want one but Shock Shock Shock at the price!

Aaaaaaah Lucycat, welcome to the small but perfectly formed mn de waard lovers club.

it is my ultimate dream to own one, beautiful, beautiful tents. There was one pitched at Bala last summer, I walked past it several times before I plucked up the courage to go and talk to the inhumanely tall, attractive, slim and healthy Danes camping inside.

"is that a De waard" I asked (I already knew it was cos of the de waard label on the outside)

"yes" said the seven foot Dane

"it is very beautiful"

"yes" he said

And we both stood back and admired it.

A short but pleasant conversation.

The Dutch have the equivalent of eBay where you can buy them second hand I believe.

Hi Lucycat. A truly beautiful tent but you would need an agricultural trailer to transport it.
