Camping in Croyde?

Near Croyde beach?

Can anyone recommend a site? I am thinking for next summer and DC will be 14&12. They love surfing and could get a couple of lessons from the surf school and then maybe be a bit more independent.

There is one called ruda and thats right next to the beah but it gets v busy, and I think it has small tent places (god I cant think of the word!) It has a ashop, entertainment take away everything.
We stopped at Bitend field whic is just a field with a little shop toilets and shower. It was really nice but was a bit out of the way and I think you had to drive to croyde itslef.

Thank you for the info, I shall investigate further. I have found one reviewed on mumsnet too. DC will just want to surf so it's somewhere to stay that's cheap!

We stayed at Ruda this summer and it was lovely, we took our tourer though rather than a tent, we were on the burrows over the road from the entertainment, shop etc, so nice and quiet.

There's nothing much nearby, but the site has a shop, pool etc.
