This is brilliant and we have just used it all weekend. Saves taking a BBQ.

Where did you buy it?

hillbilly · 27/09/2010 19:54

Hi Gerbo - sorry that link was to the wrong site. I bought ours from www.campfirecookinggrill.co.uk

We first used one when we camped at Forgewood campsite (hired it at the site) in East Sussex about a month ago, and loved it so much we decided to get one. We try to only ever camp at places that allow fires so it means we can do all our cooking with this. Obviously except for the emergency cup of tea first thing in the morning - we have a little gas stove for that!

We've got one too - well I got one for DH for Christmas and couldn't wait so have tried it out already - hence we now have a firepit in the garden! Cooked sausages and chestnuts - both yum! :) Cannot wait for camping season to start so we can try it out on a proper campfire while proper camping! Roll on the summer...hurrah! Counting the days...

And because it's flat it takes up no space in the car. Yes I'm counting the days too!

excuse me being a bit meh but is it an oven shelf bolted to a stake?

hillbilly · 16/02/2011 14:09

Heroine - yes it is and if I had the tools to attach an oven tray to a stake with an adjustable height thingy, then I certainly would do it. Since I don't have the tools or the capability, I bought one Grin

Bottom line is though, that it works perfectly and takes up little space.
