second hand tent wanted

we got this huge 8 man tent at the start of the summer which is fab but I am taking DS away on his own in late november and want a 3 or 4 man tent with a sewn in ground sheet and double skinned ....the ones on ebay seem to be going a bit daft and as it is just for a weekend I don't want to spend a fortune on it...... the 8 man is just too big to put up on my own and would be cold too.....

any suggestions?

What budget do you have? What do you want apart from the sewn-in ground sheet (living space? height? separate bedrooms?)

just needs to be easy to put up and good hydrostatic head rating like 3000 ..... can pay but would like it to be as cheap as possible

Getting the HH looks like being the tricky bit.

There's the Outwell Fusion 300 - pop up, HH of 3,000, about £100

Vango and Quechua do a few that aren't too expensive and are quick to pitch, but they only have a HH of 2,000 - Vango do do a high-tech range, but they start at £200 and go up...

My sister is selling her Outwell Magic ... she's only used it once but they've recently found out they're moving overseas so won't be able to use it again.

ooh i came on to tell people my tent is for sale (again the flipping bloke never cam eto get it from ebay ...

It is a Sunncamp Orbit XL. Will sell to a MNer for £100.

It is a very big spacious tent sleeping our family of 5 with dog, dog crate and all my teenagers clothes (her ENTIRE wardrobe plus makeup, hairdryer and straighteners) plus at times 5 other people and it is in VGC.

Easy to put up though helps if you are tall and it is heavy.

I have a 3 man Eurohike dome tent which is waiting to be put on ebay! I'm not sure of the HH rating but can check if you're interested. The groundsheet is attached to the inner room with the outer layer going over it. There is a small porch which has a separate ground sheet.

If you're interested let me know. I'm looking for about £20 + post for it.

I also have a 6 man tunnel tent (4 man + 2 man). It's not as easy to put up as the dome tent but certainly do-able if you have someone just to hold the centre pole while it's pegged in. Same as the other tent, the groundsheet is attached to the inner tents. If there's only 2 of you going you only need to put up one of the inner tents. It's tall enough to stand up in.

I'd like to get about £30 for this one (+post).
