Camping this weekend?

I really fancy going away this weekend, and DH can get a half day on Fri so we could get a rare 2 nights in but I can get a decent forecast anywhere! BBC weather is very noncommital for the weekend. Anyone else going to take the risk of rain?

we are booked to go this weekend to... i am hopefully thinking that it really cant continue with this poor weather in August!!!

In the old days I wouldn't even have worried too much, but with a small tent, a baby and a dog, getting wet doesn't hold much appeal! Fingers crossed the summer's not over yet.

met office and bbc ones don't sound that great - though think bbc gets theirs from met office. though they weren't very positive about last weekend and then it wasn't too bad. the metcheck one looks a bit better, but basically most people seem to be saying its going to be unsettled for the rest of aug. i've been looking as we too are booked to go away and i'm fed up camping in the rain and wind. think it was at least 4 years ago we had decent weather in the tent

I'm booked to go with DH & 3DC's this weekend so I hope it does not rain all the time. Sad

We're going on Friday, two nights, inaugural trip (I'm fairly sure I haven't been camping for 16 years, not sure about DH, DD never, I can vouch for that). Argh. The forecast keeps waivering about all over the place for where we're going, although at the moment it's okay on Friday, fine on Saturday and raining on Sunday. DH says we won't go if it looks hopeless, and I can't quite pitch the tent by myself so can't go off on a solo trip, or with DD.

We are going Friday for two nights to the Forest of Dean. Sunny forecast when I booked last week now it seems to be forecasting mostly rain. Means I will have to take the tent I can't put up by myself and hope that someone takes pity on me - MNetters at the FOD Forestry Commission site please keep an eye out for a clueless blonde with a sports car.
