Do you clean your tent?

Not just sweep it out, but actually clean it? How? We have a Khyam and the website is very stuffy about the whole idea, but other googling seems to suggest you can.

I clean it after every trip!

It is a hassle though...

Don't you clean bird poo etc off?

Hang over washing line, spot clean anywhere that is muddy/grubby/has bird poo.

Dry, air, put away.

That is why I hate coming home fro/camping... as it's usually raining, and all this has to be done in the house!

It certainly prolongs the life of your tent I think... my 2man is now 16 years old.

lol

Not really.

Have spot cleaned bird poo, sometimes sweep inside, but it's not high on my priorities.

Oh, sorry, I used to read your blog, but then had DC2 and now have no time to read blogs (hence me discovering last week that petiteanglaise had a baby...)

I think your dd2 was just 4 last time I read it...

I do sweep out with a dustpan and brush before we collapse the tent as it's the only way to get all the trodden-in stuff out of the sewn in groundsheet and I hate finding it all there next time we put the tent up.

There's just too much tent to put over the washing line as I found out when I tried to dry it out once, but I've been known to wipe off the odd bit of bird poo with a baby wipe in passing.

I will confess I brought the carpet in and vacuumed it yesterday Blush but that is because it is new and was full of that horrid New Forest sandy soil after a damp week.

Oh, go on, read it again. I don't post too often and I often do very short posts Grin
