Any tips on keeping food cold, or other general tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

From memories of France, try to minimise what needs to be kept cold. Find a nearby place to pop in and get what you need for each day's meal, get some longlife milk. If very hot, try to pitch your tent in shade (e.g. under a tree).

Are you going somewhere hot or do you know something we don't about next week's weather in Cornwall?

Before you go, chill a stainless steel flask in the fridge, then fill it with cold milk. It will stay cold for about 2 days if you keep it out of direct sun. (ditto white wine). Pack your coolbox with already chilled/frozen stuff and pack lots of ice packs on the top (rather than the bottom). Cover coolbox with a wet towel to help absorb the heat. Other than that, just buy fresh milk as and when and freeze your ice packs in the campsite freezer if possible.

If you have EHU get a fan. We have an (i think) outwell (?) one with soft foam blades- really works well- and can fix on tent window mesh with special magnet thing too! Total best buy for hot weather!

Hahah, I'm in Spain. I will have a look for outwell.

Thanks all.
