We stayed at Ca'Savio with Eurocamp, kids had an absolute ball and would recommend it for:

Near local small town for gelato and restaurants etc.
Safe, shallow and warm sea.
Nice pitches.
Good facilities on site: cycle hire, pools, park, pizzeria, kids club (not in your face) etc
Venice, Venetian lagoon, boats etc.
No rain at all for 2 whole weeks!!!

I also like the look of the Bella Italia in the Lakes but not been.

Get in early for Bella Italia! - I have succeeded for the first time in getting a Mobile with aircon (absolutely essential) for next year, but I had to book nearly a year advance - they go quick!

We've been to Union Lido and Parc Albatros - both fab. I did reviews on here for both of them....

we're going to norcenni girasole in tuscany at the end of this week - like you, we had one too many rainy weeks in cornwall. This is our first time driving/camping (albeit in a mobile home) with chidren. I think there are reviews on here of Norcenni Girasole as wel as Park Albatros (which we also thought about going to).

our first time abroad that is!

We were at Europa Silvella at Lake Garda. Was lovely, did a review on here.

Worth looking at booking with Thomson al Fresco there mobile homes all have air con (essential - it was roasting) and decking and were not more expensive than Eurocamp.

we're going with thomson al fresco - their vans are meant to be newer than alot of the other operators.
