Near Wells, anyone been here? We're going this weekend for the first time (first time camping too, eek!) and it seems lovely, just wondered if anyone has first hand experience?

Also, any tips/recommendations for our first weekend camping? I currently have 3 lists on the go - clothes, accessories and food. (accessories being toiletries, towels etc.)

I'm so excited but a bit nervous too..

Well, I have to say, it was brilliant! The site is lovely and quiet (quite far out so no town/traffic noise). We were the last ones outside the tent at around 11.30, you could hear a pin drop. The facilities are nice and clean (showers were being mopped about 5 times a day! They have fridges and a microwave for baby bottles, which was really handy, and the kids' play area is great for little ones and older children too. Oh, and Monday to Friday there's a stall set up in the morning by people from the local farm, with meat, yoghurts and cereals. And the owners have 4 chickens (who wander onto the site every morning!) and sell eggs which are very nice indeed.
A brilliant site for first timers anyway, flat and dry, and very friendly people. I would recommend taking a windbreak to put outside the tent, as it's not totally sheltered (because it's such a big field) and can get quite windy if the wind speed is up.
