Camping in Dorset - do we need extra blankets?

Never been camping Dorset this time of the year and am finishing the packing tonight. We have sleeping bags but am wondering if we should pack extra blankets/dressing gowns for DS's? The forecast is looking moderate and dry but will sleeping bags be enough this week? Car is pretty tightly packed at the moment..Ta.

We went to Dorset two weeks ago and apart from one night we were fine with a quilt on an airbed.
Only night I was a bit chilly was when it was a clear night.
I'd pack a blanket just incase tho but thats because I always over pack!

I would have thought you would be fine without, it is very warm here. But like amummyinwaiting I always overpack so would take one.

Which site are you camping at?

we only go to dorset. the weather at the mo, it is a job to tell isn't it - bikini / kagool ?
best to take, i think.

Thanks for your replies. I tend to overpack, too! We are in London so I am expecting it to be a little warmer down south. We are going to Steeple Leese farm. Not been before, spotted it while searching on the web. Anyone camped here? There's no showers or hot water, so we will be roughing it, but I hope this means that the campsite won't be as busy.

anotherglass i would love to know how you get on with the campsite, i read about it and don't mind roughing it. Please could you let me know how you get on when you come back?

We were in Dorset a month ago and had one warm night and one chilly, clear skied night. I just went to bed in my fleece and was very toasty.
