The weather forecast is a bit hit and miss anyway, keep checking right up until the day before and you might be luck, it said it was going to be warm and sunny in N Devon this weekend it pissed down and blew a gale.

stay at home? Camping in the rain is miserable........!

you are shocked and angry that it will rain in Scotland? LOL

It is a beautiful place, the sky will enthrall you, you will find shells and stones on the beaches, you will eat fantastic fish and chips, drink the finest whisky, meet the nicest people and listen to the rain pattering (hammering) on your tent while you are tucked up all cosy in your sleeping bag and 17 blankets.

bliss!

We are camping in Snowdonia next weekend, with DC aged 4, 6 and nearly 8. The forecast is looking rather hit and miss at the moment.

We will take plenty of things to do inside the tent: board games, books, an mp3 player loaded with audiobooks, a tupperware box of lego etc.

We will also take waterproofs and wellies and get outside whatever the weather! We are camping in a forest so there are lots of walks, and the trees give some shelter.

Then back to the tent for steaming mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

What's not to like?
