Anyone know the calories? Very confusing

This may not be confusing and I may just be very thick , but can someone work out the calories in this curry paste that I used for dinner? See below:

Per 100g as prepared: 86kcal

Preparation: 50g paste + 250ml cold water.

when the curry was ready I weighed it again and it was 230g , I made it using the preparation amount 50g paste + 250ml cold water.

I’m not sure if 50g paste + 250ml water is supposed to be 100g when cooked?

does this make any sense to anyone? 🤣🤣🤣

I ate the full 230g.

When prepared the sauce will weigh 300g (100ml of water weighs 100g) so if you used the full 50g paste the sauce was 256cal. Some water will boil off during cooking reducing weight but not calories.

Obvs you need to add calories for your additional ingredients.
