9wk Holiday Countdown - Half a stone to lose - join me?

I’ve got 9wks until my summer holiday and want to lose 7lbs before then. I calorie counted from Jan until April this year and lost 9lbs but some family events, a holiday and general life has meant I’ve been off plan for a month now and need to get back on it.

im short and weight loss is slloooww for me so 7lbs in 9wks is actually going to be really tough and I’ll need to be super strict!

anyone want a holiday countdown thread with me? I’ll be weighing in on Tuesdays!

can I join? 7 weeks til my hols and I would like to lose about 8lb and tone up a bit. I’m avoiding alcohol apart from already planned nights out and need to get back on the treadmill as that’s my main source of exercise. Calorie counting is the only thing that works for me. Just had tea (home made pasta bolognese) so that’s it for me for the day now. If anyone sees me with my head in the fridge they have permission to shut the door on my head!

I’ve been a slimming angel today, did an 800 calorie fast day, went for a run and walked the dog twice. 👍

Don't do beach hols but am going away in Aug
Need to loose about 3 stone though! Got on scales yesterday thought they must be broken or has the cat got on with me! Oh dear....

It's weigh-day for me today, so I dutifully stepped on the Sad Machine this morning.... result is I've gained 0.2lbs compared to this time last week so I'm pretty annoyed. I did eat a bit naughty on the weekend as mentioned above, but apart from the afternoon tea which I couldn't calorie count, I logged everything else in my app and I came in under my calorie burn for the day. Ho hum.

SW - 131.4lbs
Week 2 weight/CW - 129.8lbs

I record my weight on Tuesday's but I actually tend to weigh several days a week and I'd got down to 128.6lbs this weekend so was on track to be around 128lbs by today, which would have been another 1 and a bit lbs down, but alas that has happened! I am feeling rather .... ahem ... constipated the last 3 days so I wonder if that's affecting it? I certainly feel a bit sluggish and big around the middle since suffering so maybe.

Anyway, onwards and upwards (or should that be downwards, as that's where I want to scales to head!)

Goals for Week 3 -

  • Drink more water
  • Reach 128.0lbs
  • 30mins weighted vest walk/ 1 mile run per day
  • Pick up the weights again and start toning!

How are we all doing? 3 weeks to my holiday and I am still a good 7-14lb off where I want to be. I’m struggling! Wish this was easier

2 and a half weeks to go. I’m down to 70kg which feels great but my clothes don’t feel any looser. I’m sure it all helps though

The last couple of weeks I’ve had a bit of a breakthrough and feel like I’m finally over the dreaded yo-yo /plateau. The difference has been largely due to taking a fibre supplement in my morning protein shake, I now hit 30g fibre every single day and it seems to really help me to stay in my calories, I’m not craving sugar or anything and I feel full after my meals, much less bloated and just generally lighter. I lost 2 official pounds last wwwk however previously my weight was bobbing up and down by several pounds each week so I was unofficially losing 3-4lbs but basically getting nowhere every week!

Hi folks - forgot all about this thread! Still stuck on 11 & a half stone. I have some bad habits. Already mentioned missing meals(although I am making more effort to eat breakfast ) & I do tend to keep picking at my evening meal when I have officially finished which sometimes means I’m still eating quite late at night. Also tend to have a pudding or a bar of chocolate despite being full. Had an Indian ready meal tonight but will probably have a twirl bar in a bit. At least the ones in the multipacks are quite small!

Last week before holidays and I’ve absolutely plateaued. So I’m focusing on fake tanning, sorting my hair and will absolutely do my best to stick to 1200cals every day this week.

What fibre supplements do you take?

@ChaliceinWonderland I use a chocolate protein shake powder and I add 2 tbsp of well within fibre powder, and sometimes I add a tbsp of soaked chia seeds as well. This week I have got a collagen powder too so I’ve added a scoop of that as well. I blend it up in my nutribullet with ice cubes and water or half milk/half water.

I’ve had a really good few weeks, I feel like it’s just sort of clicked into place. It’s my birthday this weekend so I’ve been off plan, but I’m back on it tomorrow. We go away 3 weeks today! Cannot wait! I have lost about 6/7 lbs since the start of June which has been a really much needed boost for me, and I’d like to lose another 3-4 before I go away.
