Breakfast help!

Hi everyone! This is my first thread so please be gentle if I haven't done it right Grin

I need to lose some weight and I am planning on prepping calorie counted meals for the days I'm in the office.

My issue is breakfasts. I don't have a lot of time at home in the mornings, but I'm really lucky we've got a microwave and an airfryer in the kitchen at work.

I don't like porridge, I've tried baked oats and the texture is not for me. I don't like avocado so avocado on toast is out! I don't mind measuring cereal but I prefer something warm as it sets me up for the day.

Can you give me any ideas of things I could either prep the night before or something quick I could make at work please?

Thanks in advance Smile

2 Heck Chicken Sausages in a thin or thin bagel? 60cals in 2 sausages but 10g of protein, 100cals in a thin so 160cal for a great healthy and low cal breakfast that keeps you full for a long time! X

I sometimes have turkey bacon rashers in a bagel thin with lettuce and cucumber. Here's the calories for 2 bagels and 4 turkey rashers.

Or Heck chicken italia sausages with wholemeal bread as a sandwich

Or scrambled egg on wholemeal toast

Yoghurt with fruit, seeds and nuts.
Hard boiled eggs with ham.
Home made breakfast muffins (sort of crustless quiche)

Oldgalgames · 26/02/2025 19:37

Greek yogurt, honey, cinnamon & PB powder.
I have it every morning, just over 200 calories and nearly 30g of protein!

Would people at work be likely to object to the smell of eggs?

If not then microwave scrambled eggs is a good choice, just pack up a little Tupperware with some sliced spring onions a sprinkle of strong cheddar, a couple of eggs still in the shell. Then when you get to work, break the eggs in with the cheese and onions, stir and microwave in 30 second bursts till it's the consistency you like.

Frittata made with extra egg white. Make it the night before and take in a Tupperware. Can eat hot or cold.

On my office days I have a protein shake instead of my usual weetabix. I’ve been having the optimum nutrition ones, I didn’t think they’d make me feel full but they do.

HayleyBean · 19/04/2025 18:28

I have 3 eggs scrambled (done in the microwave) and a protein shake. Gives me roughly 40g of protein for 300 calories or so

Stuckinarut100 · 19/04/2025 18:29

Greek yoghurt, fruit, tiny drizzle of honey.

Mulledjuice · 19/04/2025 18:31

Pre-make a load of baked mini-omelettes. Can be eaten cold from the fridge or heated up in microwave. Chop veggies, saute lightly, add to muffin tin, pour over whisked eggs

stample · 19/04/2025 19:21

Pancakes then reheat at work, you can freeze them too!
mygo to for breakfast is normally an a times and fruit on the go but if I’m more hungry I’ll have a bowl of cereal at home
