Per day or per week?

Hi,
Just starting out with using calorie counting to lose some weight. I'm using the nutracheck app which calculates my daily allowance to be 1400. I'm just wondering if I don't use up my full allowance on one day, could I then roll it over to another day? Or I guess just take the total for the week and spread it over 7 days, but I'd be worried I'd end up miscalculating how much I actually had left!

Yes, Nutrachech shows you a weekly chart. It under the options tab.

Ooh thank you! I need to have a proper look through the app I think!

I’d just look it as a bonus extra lower calorie day. I never aimed to eat over on another day to make up for what I missed.

That's what I'd ideally do, the reason I asked is because I was quite under yesterday but then today I haven't got much left and I like to have a small 'treat' type of thing with a cup of tea in the evening!

I use the weekly total, so if I am under some days I will use it for a higher day or extra treat another day.

Nutracheck also has a option for higher/lower days so if you know you have a meal out or want a more relaxed day or two it will set your calories so that over the week you still hit your goal calories on average.

If you are going to be dieting a while it's nice to be able to fit in a treat.
