Stretching Work Out GIF by CBeebies HQ

I can’t see any threads about the diet… wondering if anyone is following it at the moment and how they’re getting on.
I'm on day three and totally new to this kind of weight loss.
I’ve piled on loads of weight in the past few years, so much that when my hubbie took my “starting” picture, I had a little cry 😢.

Following with interest. I have never heard of this. Is it intermittent fasting? eg; eat around 800 calories one day, eat normal the next; eat around 800 calories next day, eat normal the next; eat around 800 calories one day, eat normal the next day and so on.... ? Smile

I also need to lose weight. Losing around 2 stone would make me happy.

It’s a very low calorie ketosis diet. There are 6 stages and your consultant talks you through them to decide which is the one for you to start on.
I'm currently doing step 1B which is sole source and that means I have 4 products a day totalling around 800 kcal. I found the first two days incredibly hard but it’s easing up today.
Apparently once in ketosis you don’t feel so hungry. You then work through the strap until maintenance and it’s important you do apparently as a lot of people out the weight back on quickly if they get back into old eating habits.

I've lost 2 and a half stone on it since January. I've had to stop now because I found out I'm pregnant (reason why I wanted to lose weight!) but yeah it really works. The hunger does go and you get into the rhythm of it. My advice would be to always have your consultant check ins, I found them very helpful even if it's been a good week. Good luck, you can do it!😊

AT76 · 05/06/2024 18:43

Thanks for this, that’s really encouraging! Huge congrats on the pregnancy! Looking forward to me first weigh in , I really hope I’ve lost 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sailorchick14 · 19/08/2024 13:44

I lost 6 stone on 121 diet last year, all on step 3. It really does work if you stick to it.
Currently put a bit back on, my fault for comfort eating as injured so when I get back from holiday will be back on plan as know I can deal with it.

PositivityVibes · 23/08/2024 23:31

I've lost a stone in a month, absolutely delighted.

I'm on step 2 but I've gone 'off plan' a couple of times as I had events booked in.

2 more stones to go Grin

PurplePositivity · 30/09/2024 23:07

Another half a stone off so 1 1/2 in total, I'm so pleased.

AT76 · 01/10/2024 06:25

Well done you! That’s amazing!! I hit target last week… took longer than I thought because of the chaos of the school hols! I love this diet and am determined for keeping off now!!!! Keep going, it’s so worth it xx

Well done @AT76 😊

PurplePositivity · 08/12/2024 20:49

Had a 'busy' few months but I've hit the 2 stone loss now.

I feel very evangelical about this diet as it's so bloody easy, I mean I do keep going off piste but get back on quickly and no drama.

hsar200 · 02/01/2025 23:17

I really want to start this but with my own meal replacement stuff? Is that something that might work? Unfortunately I cannot actually afford to do the proper plan. Do you guys think that may work?

Yes if you get something that is a complete meal

hsar200 · 02/01/2025 23:22

Lots of meal replacements are around the 200 calorie mark. I'm so tired of being fat. I have been my whole life and I am exhausted trying to eat healthy and work out and do everything. I think it might work for me just to have this simple plan where I know I can have 4 products per day and that's it.

Have you looked at any?
Protein works I see gets recommended on here. I know what you mean about keeping it simple. I use home made soup a lot as a meal or have beans on toast as my main meal.
