I have been calorie counting on and off for last couple of years. When I first did it I was set 1400 cals but was prob only eating 1300. I'm 5'2 and 10stone 3. I got down to 9.5 and felt great, I was getting 15000-20k steps a day but no gym.

Recently I've been back at it and having the set 1400, getting approx 12-15k steps but going to gym twice a week and I'm not losing anything.

Do you think I need to eat less?
I struggle at 1300 though and was hungry at times

How long have you been back at it? How often do you weigh yourself?

Do you honestly need to lose the weight?

I'm the same height as you and have never weighed less than 10 stone. I got to 10st by doing Weight Watchers a long time ago and it required far too much restriction to get under 10 Stone. It basically led to me having an eating disorder for a decade afterwards. I now refuse to eat less than 1500 calories a day.

In your position, I would focus on body recomposition (ie lifting weights) rather than losing any more weight.

You're not eating enough, you're just eating the wrong things.
