Suddenly really hungry!

I've been calorie counting since new year and it's been going really well so far. I've lost 11.5kg and my BMI is just under 30 now. I've been doing some exercise (cardio) and eating more calories on exercise days. Weight loss has been steady and I haven't really been hungry until now. For the past few days I've been starving! No changes to exercise or main diet. I have been eating a bit more as I'm trying to listen to my body but I'm worried about ruining my progress. Has anyone else had periods of getting much hungrier?

It's been a bit warmer last few days and thirst can often be mistaken for hunger so it could be that perhaps.

Can you bulk out your meals with low calories stuff such as more veg/salad? I find high fibre foods help hugely with my hunger
