Best weight loss app

Can anyone recommend a good weight loss app that includes calorie counting and a workout. If anyone has had any success stories via an app, please let me know!!

I just want to lose 7 pounds. I have put on a bit of weight after having my 2 kids and would realistically be happy half a stone lighter.

I cannot seem to lose more than 1-2 pounds. Pre-kids all I had to do was a couple of workouts and not eat in the evenings and I could lose half a stone within a couple of weeks. I just cannot lose the weight.

App and tips welcome!

Work out your tdee
tdeecalculator.net/

reduce the total calorie amount by 15-20% to get a weight loss calorie target.
Weigh and log all food/drink on My fitness pal or similar to see where you can make swaps.
Its eye opening the amount of calories that are in some things and sometimes even just weighing and seeing how big a portion should be, rather than free pouring/guessing the amount, is all it takes to make a difference.

Nutracheck

Myfitnesspal's free version served me well for ages. That said, they've recently started having popup ads after every entry, which is annoying. So I'm trying out MyNetDiary which so far seems decent enough. If you're happy to pay a subscription a lot of people seem to like Nutracheck.

My top tip is commit to counting for just a month, because the easiest time to give up is the first 2 weeks and it gets more routine after that. By then you'll very likely continue and get past the 1-2lb mark.

I use My Fitness Pal since you can use it on your phone but also log into the website to log your foods (I use a computer for about 12 hours a day so this helps me by having it on my bookmark bar to remind me). Though really any similar app will be fine, it's all about being honest with the app about what you actually ate which is the hardest bit!
