Fruit / veg calorie estimates

Looking for some advice.
Calorie counting using nutracheck. Using TDEE minus 330 calories puts me on 1800 per day.

Now, i want to of course account for fruit and veg but not have to weigh and calorie count it so was thinking of going for a lower daily calorie number but not count fruit and veg. Obv I'll count potato and avocado

If i did 1500 plus fruit / veg does that seem about right?
What other veg / fruit should i count?

I just dont want to be weighing out grated carrots or iceberg lettuce etc!! I guess its a bit like having "free foods" on other diets but those foods are only fruit and veg

Honestly Op, I think you’d be better off counting them as every calorie does count and guesstimating can be way way off.

I successfully lost weight in the past with WW who had 'free' veg. You could check which ones they tend to list. But if I'm weighing a couple of things I feel I may as well do the whole plate so I haven't bothered to change, plus I take notice of macros and not counting veg might alter the balance. If you've already been counting everything you could see what your average is per day. I did that with milk.

I think perhaps if you do a bit of research about the kind of veg you know you commonly eat, and if that is low calorie or not in the standard portions you tend to eat.

Its easy to underestimate with what we consider ‘good’ foods, but things like sweetcorn can have 80/90 calories in 100g, I had a small bag of shredded iceberg lettuce that was 25 calories.

I sometimes give myself a ‘miscellaneous’ calories total, for things like sweeteners, diet drinks, the dash of almond milk I have in coffee etc.
