Losing that last half a stone

Have lost a stone and have another half to go, but I just haven't lost any weight in the last month, I've stayed the same at least. I've been doing 1200 calories a day but I don't feel I can drop to less than that without felling hungry?

I do 300 for breakfast and the same for lunch. About 4-500 for the dinner then the rest is a treat.

Have you checked what calories you should be on now? Use a tdee calculator

Just looked it up my maintenance is 1400-1600 depending on activity levels.

In the last month i reckon I've had 4 days where I've gone over 1200, but I haven't done as much exercise as usual since the kids have been off.

I’ve had a stone to lose (advice from GP on starting HRT) and first half easy enough, second half just fluctuates 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some weeks it’s spot on, others, the half stone ‘reappears’.

Frankly at this point (6mnths+) I’ve accepted that my body ‘likes’ being around the weight recommended, but not constantly at the lower weight.

So I’ve accepted that & am consoling myself with the knowledge that the occasional extra half stone might be keeping my face plump from wrinkles 🤣🤣🤣

Swings & roundabouts OP, unless you've a serious medical need to be a lower weight, it might be a lot less stressful to just be in the general vicinity of an ideal weight rather than being worried/upset/‘starving’ trying to get to an ‘ideal’ number.

Agree with pp. Drink lots of water and keep within your maintenance calories. The weight will shift over a longer period of time but you can stop stressing over those last few pounds

Do you work just to calories or macros also? What kind of exercise do you do?

I lost 4 stone just calorie counting and running but couldn’t shift the last 1.5 stone. It’s only when I started doing resistance training in the gym and building spme
muscle alongside prioritising protein, that the last bit of weight came off. In the end, I lost nearly 2 more stone. I’m eating far more than I ever have now I’m at the weight I want. My macro split was 45/35/20 (protein/carbs/fat) and I didn’t go below 1400, although I had been as low as 1000-1200 before. The resistance training is key, get steps in (at leat 10000) and don’t do too much heavy cardio. Now on 1900 calories and still losing so my calories are about to go up again just to support my training.
