Will an exercise bike help?

So I’ve been calorie counting since jan. probably had 2 months off but we won’t talk about that haha. I’ve lost a stone and have another 2 stone to lose.

I know it’s all about diet to help lose fat but I’m determined to slim my thighs down as quick as possible. Has anyone had any success with an exercise bike? I’ve bought one second hand and I’m going to be doing 30 mins 5 days a week (more if I can)

I've got a peloton and love it!

Any exercise should help but you need to use the bike properly - cycling 30 minutes very slowly whilst watching TV isn't going to burn many calories. 30 minutes full pelt so you're dripping with sweat at the end might be beneficial. For context, I cycle regularly but on the road - last night I cycled 27 miles in 1hr 40 minutes (ish) at an average speed of 16.5mph. I burned about 30 calories per mile.

I have an exercise bike and use it with hand weights. I probably do aboit 40 mins 3 or 4 times a week in front of the tv because it's boring 😁. It gives me energy and tones my muscles visibly.
On my fitbit it is possible to keep my heart rate up with low pedal resistance and using the weights. I have big thighs already and prefer to pedal fast. It is a lot easier to fit in if you are short on time, than the gym.

You can't target fat loss in a specific area by doing a particular type of exercise but if you enjoy using an exercise bike and it will help you up the amount of calories you burn then go for it.
