Not weighing in weekly

Hi,

I have started calorie counting (I have around 1.5st to lose but I have a holiday in nine weeks and aim to lose as much as poss) but if I don't get the 1.5st (high unlikely) it's not the end of the world - healthy habits and life long changes are what matters.

My question is, my periods are very irregular (docs already informed) so weigh ins tend to be quite disheartening depending on monthly changes etc.
Does anyone else weigh in monthly and find this benefits you more?
I have some events coming up and noticed myself thinking oh I'll just not have anything to eat as I don't want to grab buffet food etc (very unhealthy I know - previous Slimming World mentality)

I like challenges and wander if I can go the 9 weeks not weighing and doing it the day before my holidays.
I have a dress that fits but isn't the comfiest that's my small goal and take regular pictures to compare to ensure im on the right track. My calories for my current weight and 9lb lighter is about 100 calories difference.

Thank you
