I’m trying to loose between 8 pounds and have a bad relationship with texture of food and really dislike the taste and texture of most veg (am autistic but on the low end of the spectrum so I think this is why). I’m constantly trying veg and have increased from only eating peas carrots corn and potatoes to now include broccoli and cauliflower. At the moment on this diet I’m living off pombears as my snack and ham wrap for lunch does anyone have any other suggestions of low calorie boring foods I may like.

You ok with pasta? I can hid spiralised courgette very easily in pasta from my kids. What about butternut squash as a lower calories alternative to potato?

Not sure if it's bland enough for you, but you can eat huge portions of low fat Greek yoghurt / Skyr for relatively few calories.

Various crisp-type snacks come in at around a 100 calories a bag e.g. pretzels, popcorn, squares, skips.
6 Ritz crackers are about 100 calories, or 3 oatcakes.
Potato waffles and crumpets are both under a hundred calories.

Bulgur is like rice but higher in protein. Rice noodles are low in calories. Nimble bread is lower than normal bread. Rice cakes are good as is popcorn as it’s filled with air!
