So i have been on 1200 for a few weeks and the weight has come off but stalls periodially. I was reading that this is because your body reaches homeostasis and tries to cling onto fat.So apparently it is ok to up the calories for a few days a week...say the weekend. Is this a load of rubbish?

I am calorie counting/exercising with the advice of a PT. I accidentally did this one week and had a big loss. He has now said I should do the same every week - he calls it backloading. So I have more cals every saturday the less sunday to friday.

I zigzag. Of course it will work if you keep on weekly limits like you would if you do same amount daily.
But it allows you normal life and build hood habits. It's just not natural to eat exactly same amount each day.
