CC and exercise accountability thread

Something to keep me motivated and accountable....I'll be posting my exercise, steps and calories for the day! Anyone else feel free to add yours in too Smile

The summer holidays + starting a new job have meant zero exercise and lots of convenience meals (not to mention lots of alcohol!), and a slight increase in the scales. It's also affecting my mental health quite a bit and my energy levels are at an all time low. I used to walk a lot and workout 4-5 times a week, now I'm lucky if I do more than 5000 steps a day (and that's mostly walking to/from the bus to work!).

I'm roughly 10st 8lbs (haven't weighed in a while and no point doing it right now after macaroni cheese and chips for tea Blush), I will weigh in the morning and give my exact starting weight. Current goal weight is to get under 10stone, although I want to start lifting weights again so will probably rely more on how I feel and if I go down a dress size.

Currently planning my meals for the week, going to try and keep it simple to begin with so I'm not too overwhelmed. Aiming for ~1500 calories per day for 5 days, then I'll have 2 days at 1800. This should be steady and sustainable for me Grin

Day 1 over and done with...

Weigh in this morning, starting weight of 10st 7lb, better than I thought!

Haven't got my shop yet so had to make do with what was in the house today, so it wasn't the healthiest.

Breakfast - yogurt with grapes + strawberries and a little syrup, and a coffee (264)
Lunch - lentil soup with a slice of cheese + tomato on toast (329)
Tea - a very beige meal of sausage roll, chips, beans and garlic bread (663)
Snack - cuppa + blue riband (142)
Ending the day on 1398 calories.

Also drank 2litres of water, 10.5k steps, week 3 of c25k and an upper body workout. Smile

Gréât first day!! How have you been getting on since? I am TTC and really need to lose some weight so I will be following this threat- let's do this 💪 I've got quite a bit more to lose then you. It's difficult watching the months go by without a positive result but now I'm just telling myself that each month is an opportunity to lose another half a stone 😊 I am going to start C25K again and also do a 30 day yoga challenge. Will do a few workouts too when I can find the time. Calories 1300-1500 weekdays and 1800 at weekend. X

Sorry I had given up on this thread ha! I had a good week and a half and then fell off the wagon. I am currently having to self isolate though and have been working out daily so need to get to grips with the diet again. This may be the kick up the bum I need! How have you been getting on?

Hey is this thread still going?
I feel similar to you.... Drinking too much wine, eating not very good but I do do quite a few steps a day
10stone 4 and want to lose a stone

mner1896 · 30/08/2021 21:18

Yes I keep checking every so often to see if anyone has joined me Smile

I'm currently on day 5 of working out, I'm using the Fiit app and really enjoying it. I usually do weight training but started doing HIIT as I want to improve my cardiovascular fitness. Also hoping the HIIT will give me a better weight loss to begin with.

I've got a food shop in today so will start weighing food tomorrow so I can keep on track with my calories!

Well done so far OP!

I've been on and off with CC but never can keep accountable for it!

PutYourBackIntoit · 01/09/2021 18:39

Please can I join if you're still up for this?

I'm starting PT on Monday and will start calorie counting then too on mfp.

One thing I'm going to do every morning is squats, wall push ups or axe chops to a good tune. I'm happy to post a new tune each morning if others would benefit from this?

I'm following a similar pattern to you, 1500 calories a day with 70g of protein.
No other rules, but to try for as many steps as I can.

I have 3 stone to lose (can't believe I've written that!).

I'm probably going to weigh myself weekly. What day do you weigh yourself @mner1896?

mner1896 · 01/09/2021 21:46

@PutYourBackIntoit I've joined another chat as this one wasn't going anywhere fast haha. I don't know how to link to other chats but if you look on weightloss chat and it's called 'Starting today!' (I think) if you want to join in on that one Smile and anyone else who has commented and comes back to this thread!
