Feeling disheartened

Hi,

I'm very new to calorie counting and have done SW in the past with good results but struggled to stick to it longer than a couple weeks.

Have done calorie counting for a week now and lost 1lb.

I have measured EVERYTHING and just feel disheartened.

I know over a month it's a good loss at 1lb a week but with 2 stone to lose I can't help but feel this is going to take me forever 😭

I know I'm just being silly but how can I stop myself feeling slightly upset that I won't get as big a loss as I did doing slimming world?

Thank you very much for any help Smile

You need to change your mindset. 1 pound is good loss especially since you have small amount to lose.

Think about it. You got big loss in SW but you yourself say you couldn't stick with it.

Use this to have smaller loss, but being able to stick to it AND build habits so you don't have to go and diet again. You will do great

Weightloss is not linear so it jumps, remains the same and does mini blips. My graph of weightloss over 3 months really showed that any loss is good and the only way to move down the scales is to keep chipping away with some weeks easier than others. Weightloss doesn’t really understand what a week is either. See where you are after 3 weeks.

Think about it like this - you can lose a stone in about 3 months at this kind of rate. By Christmas you can be at your goal weight with the same progress!
