Help. Weight loss plateau!

I’m eating around 1000-1200 calories per day and not losing weight. What am I doing wrong? Should I be monitoring my carbs, fat and protein? I follow a low-carb / low-fat diet to keep my calories low. I’d really appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.

How old are you...how long have you been dieting and what's your weight?

Coco3535 · 20/06/2021 20:37

I’m 38… I’ve been dieting for 2 months and lost half a stone, but looks like my weight is going back up when I’m eating the same, but I think is because my metabolism has slowed down. And I still have another stone to lose!

I can plateau for 10 to 14 days at a time...but don't panic..you are doing well. ....are you drinking enough water?

Coco3535 · 20/06/2021 21:03

That's good to know! I probably have 1.5 litres a day... should I be having more?

As a rule of thumb take your weight in lbs and divide by 2. that's how many ounces a day you need of water.

1000-1200 is a ridiculous amount unless you are very short and sedentary. Are you tracking correctly? Do you know your TDEE and BMR?
