Cheat days?

If I'm doing calorie deficit...can I cheat on Saturdays? I'm not talking about absolute blow outs- but maybe 2/300 calories more on the odd cheat day.
Does anyone else do this?

I planned to but haven't actually needed to yet, I've had the junky meal or take away but just a less calorific version or a smaller portion, or ended up having a pub lunch on a Sunday and been full enough that I've not had dinner so it's evened out pretty much.

I've also had a few days where I've unintentionally underwater by a couple of hundred calories in the week, so you could hypothetically do that and maybe use them for dinner on the Saturday and still stay within your weekly limit, if not your daily?

I have cheat meals and snacks when I feel like it. I’m not too worried if I eat a pizza or have a slice of cake as long as it’s not a regular thing . If I know I’m going out for dinner I usually get some extra exercise in to make up for it a bit ! My weight has been consistently dropping for 6 months now so whatever I’m doing is working !

I lost a lot of weight a few years ago by dieting Sunday to Friday and eating what I liked on a Saturday - I have just started a diet yesterday and will be doing the same but not doing a cheat day til next Saturday. For me I never went crazy in the Saturday - I weighed in on a Saturday morning and it helped to know j could have a meal out or a piece of cake on that day and have the rest of the week to make amends

Honestly, I don't believe in cheat days, this thing just doesn't work for me and days turn into weeks Grin. I prefer adding changes to my menu and eat something tasty instead of something 'healthy' and stay within my calorie amount at the same time. I know people who are fine with cheat days though, so you never know before you try it.
