Calories increased. Why?!

Hi guys,

Just started my weightloss journey.
The calories I had left to consume (for the day) on my calorie count app suddenly increased after I included my exercise and I’m not sure why or how it worked it out, and also don’t want the increase in calories!

Can anyone explain it to me please? I can’t make sense of it.

I opted to stick to eating 1200 calories a day.
The app hadn’t registered my 8000 steps (youtube workout) as I didn’t have my iphone on me during the workout. So I manually input this. Which caused the calories left to consume to increase.

Please see the photos and tell me if you can make sense of it?

If I’m eating 1200 cals, and then burning (for eg.) 400 cals, why would I eat extra calories to the amount I have worked off??

Hope someone can help. Thank you

You don't have to eat them. But since you're restricting calories it's giving you the option to eat them. So you'd effectively be at 1200 even though you'd actually eaten 1600 because you burnt off 400.
Faster weight loss if you don't eat them but shouldn't harm your weight loss if you do.

It's Nutracheck, you will have inputted how much weight you want to lose and I what your activity level is. If you do more activity than you initially inputted - it converts it into extra calories for you to eat (or not eat - it's up to you!)

Eg; I have entered my activity level as 'sedentary' this lets me eat 1700cals a day to lose half a pound a week. If I do more than 2500 steps I go into the 'lightly active' bracket which will allow me 1850cals (I've made those figures up!)

@BentBabyBastard yes it is nutracheck! I also put sedentary but chose the fastest speed to lose weight which put me at 1200 calories. Thanks!

Yea it does this, I don't want to eat exercise calories either so I just don't put my exercise in anymore.

If you go into diary settings.

Change exercise to separate Instead of combined it shouldn't include them in your calories left.
