Does anyone want to start a thread for those trying to shift the final few lbs? I was 13stone 7lb down to 9st 12lb and would like to be sitting at 9st exactly (will then be right in the middle of my bmi). Its do hard to shift those final lbs!

Another day closer to goal, still doing ok on my food 1200 calories. I always increase my protein when I reduce my calories so that I don't get hungry as if I let myself go too hungry I go into panic mode and binge..

Did another kettlebell class today which was going great until the instructor threw out his own back, (ouch )he was a trooper tho and continued instructing us right to the end.

Also husband decided to get on board with me for the month of April as he wants to drop a few lbs too, that will be great as we can take the chocolate off of each other.😄

Good to see others still going strong too.
Do ye recommend weighing in weekly or waiting until month end?

TinDogTavern · 07/04/2021 20:07

I weigh in weekly. Usually Monday but this week Tues because of bank holiday.

TinDogTavern · 07/04/2021 20:11

Done okay with food today, 1100 calories, and managed 13000 steps (including a 5k run at lunch time).

I need that in the bank for tomorrow. I'm going round to my support bubble which usually means wine and takeout. I always tell myself to go easy on the take out, you don't have to stuff yourself, but I never seem to exercise much restraint when it comes down to it.

Today the hunger caught up with me, woke up tired and low energy,it was one of those days....Had an extra 100 calories today so not too bad overall, also did a hit class.

I must plan my shopping carefully for tomorrow so that I don't blow it at the weekend.

How is everyone else doing?

PennyArcade · 09/04/2021 21:36

I’ve done a 12 hour shift in work today so I haven’t eaten much. No exercise today either though 🥴

I’ve just had a long soak in the bath and I’m going to bed - mainly so I don’t raid the fridge. Hoping for a better week next week.

speachy · 10/04/2021 13:48

No exercise class for me today, thought I would give myself a rest day ,so took my dog for a walk on a new route, two hours later I got back home😂, so much for a rest day.

Now to get through the weekend without eating my own body weight in snacks.

Plan to weigh in Tuesday morning as that will be a full week for me.

PennyArcade · 10/04/2021 22:03

Now to get through the weekend without eating my own body weight in snacks

Weekends without snacks always seem harder than weekdays don’t they?

I went for a (short) run with my friend this morning. We walked and run at 1 minute intervals for 30mins. I only clocked up 4,000 steps - I was knackered! 😓

I took the dog for a walk, once I had recovered, and managed 11,000 steps in all today so not too bad.

Wednesday is weigh day for me. I have tried really hard over the last few days so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for as least 1lb loss on Wednesday 🤞

speachy · 11/04/2021 13:01

That's exactly as I feel , just give me one lb loss to show me all my hard work is appreciated 😂,doesn't my body know how good I have been to her this week.... she better show up for me on Tuesday.

TinDogTavern · 12/04/2021 11:31

It's Weekend Wine that does for me rather than snacks.

I ran 6k on Sat and did 50 minutes of Jillian Bloody Michaels yesterday. Batch cooked a low fat beef casserole and a chicken tagine from the Hairy Dieters cookbook.

Weighed in this morning. 1lb off which I'll take. 40lb down, 4lb to go....

speachy · 12/04/2021 19:34

Well done @TinDogTavern hopefully I'll join you tomorrow in the celebrations.

TinDogTavern · 12/04/2021 20:32

Thanks @speachy - keeping everything crossed for you.

On the recommendation from this thread I went for the smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast at the weekend. Made such a lovely change and I think I definitely felt less hungry from the protein hit.

speachy · 13/04/2021 09:55

O dear, 1200 calories, 2 kettlebell classes, 4 hit classes, 10k plus steps done daily for a half pound loss, think I need to go old school and weight all my food. However I won't give up ,it's still a loss so let's see what the next week brings.

TinDogTavern · 13/04/2021 11:03

It's still a loss! So long as the trend is downwards you're still making progress however slowly.

Definitely recommend weighing stuff at this stage in the game. I'm currently utterly ruthless on portion control.

PennyArcade · 13/04/2021 11:31

I weighed this morning (a day early. I am going to make my weigh day a Monday from now on) and also have a 1lb loss this week 😊 Now 9st 8. Half a stone to go.

I have arranged another run with friend tomorrow plus a long dog walk with another friend as it’s a day off work. Bloody work gets in trouble way of my exercise.

Yes I agree Wine is very much missed on weekends. With wine comes snacks so I am trying to stay off it.

Well done on your losses and efforts this week everyone. We can do this!

ingeborg3 · 13/04/2021 20:38

A pound gained... however, after the busiest week of the semester, and barely four hours sleep at night, I think it is ok. Today I am counting everything I eat, lots of veggies and yogurt, and more steps than usually.

TinDogTavern · 13/04/2021 21:21

Lack of sleep is a toughie. Everything is harder through a prism of tiredness. Keep on keeping on @ingeborg3

ingeborg3 · 15/04/2021 00:20

Thank you, @TinDogTavern! I am at 134 pounds today, lost a little. Trying not to give in the temptation for sweets with some grapes.

speachy · 16/04/2021 17:29

I'm still determined to loose these pounds in April.

Stressful few days preparing for job interview so let the food slip a bit but interview over now so back on focus.

Long dog walk planned for tomorrow and some batch cooking. Few pounds saved on not getting takeaways so that's good too😊

speachy · 20/04/2021 12:51

Tuesday weigh in and for the second week in a row half pound loss, well at least I'm consistent 😀 and I got through the dreaded first two weeks.

Let's see what week three brings ,I'm determined to keep going until every half pound is gone.

TinDogTavern · 20/04/2021 19:47

Well done @speachy! All in the right direction! I lost nothing this week. I knew I'd had lapses with food but nothing drastic, and loads of exercise. So a bit disappointing.

I did run a VW50 5k PB yesterday though, so I'll take that as a win, as my fitness is clearly improving.

TinDogTavern · 20/04/2021 19:47

How's everyone else doing?

ingeborg3 · 21/04/2021 01:35

Good job, @speachy ! A half pound is something. I am losing nothing for a month... counting calories but no fitness. Sciatica pain is something else. Will try to move now😊
